  • Social Media Etiquette at Christmas Time

We write fairly frequently about keeping yourself and your charges safe in the social media age, but with Christmas just around the corner we thought it was time for a reminder… There are few careers more sensitive to social media activity than a nanny’s. Even the most conscientious carer can slip up without knowing all the risks and taking all necessary precautions – first and foremost to protect the children they’re responsible for, but also to safeguard their employer’s other assets, and their own careers as caregivers.

  • Christmas with Families of all Faiths and Cultures!

Our nannies work with families all over the world and with clients of virtually all faith groups: for some, Christmas is a very big deal; for others, the day will come and go without much fuss. • Thanksgiving Fun For All

With Thanksgiving 2016 just around the corner and many of our nannies working with American families in the US and all over the globe, we thought we’d share a few fun activities for the children at this time of year. Even if Thanksgiving isn’t largely celebrated where you’re living or within the families you’re working with, we still think there are some super ideas here for marking this cultural festival and starting discussions about being thankful.

  • Meet The Norland Mannies

This September, the world-famous Norland College in Bath welcomed Gregory Ridley, Connor Beckles, Nathaniel Fabien and Jordon Murray onto its BA in Early Years Development and Learning. This was Norland’s largest intake to date, and the nanny training college has never taken as many as four male undergraduates in its 125-year history. In fact, only seven men have graduated from Norland College previously, with the first male trainee arriving in 2012.
