SWITZERLAND + EUROPEAN TRAVEL: Experienced, Trained Live-in Nanny | G20 months + new baby | Separate Apartment | October Start | Excellent £££££

A fabulous opportunity for an experienced, trained and engaging Live-in Nanny to join a warm, international family based in Zug, Switzerland, caring initially for their delightful little girl, aged 20 months.

The family are expecting their second baby in December and would love their new nanny to join them in October, allowing plenty of time to establish a strong relationship with their daughter before the new arrival. A Maternity Nurse will be employed following the birth, so the nanny's principal focus will remain with the little girl during this important period of transition.

This is a long-term position with an international lifestyle. The family's main home is in Zug, although from mid-2027 they expect to divide their time between Milan, Spain and the South of France while renovation works are carried out on their Swiss residence. There will also be regular European travel, with excellent separate accommodation provided throughout.

The parents are looking for a nanny who is warm, bright, energetic and genuinely interested in early childhood development. Their daughter is at a wonderful age for exploration and learning, and they would particularly value someone who enjoys creating stimulating days through play, outings, nature, books, music and age-appropriate educational activities.

An understanding of Montessori principles or a similar child-led approach would be a real advantage, but personality and experience are equally important. They would love someone who is naturally nurturing and affectionate, while confident with routines, boundaries and the developmental needs of a growing toddler.

Zug offers an exceptional quality of life, with lakes, mountains and fantastic access to the outdoors, so the role would particularly suit a nanny who is active, sporty and enjoys making the most of outdoor life.

The role will include:

Predominantly sole-charge care, with some shared care as required

Planning interesting, varied and developmentally appropriate days

Encouraging independence and learning through play

Supporting routines, milestones and emotional development

Preparing fresh, healthy meals and snacks for the children

All nursery duties relating to the children

Travelling extensively with the family within Europe

Working alongside the Maternity Nurse following the arrival of the new baby

The ideal candidate:

• Will be a  nanny with excellent toddler and baby experience, a strong understanding of early years development and previous experience travelling with private families.
• She should be confident, capable and highly organised, but equally warm, fun and relaxed in her approach. Someone who can take initiative, research activities and make the most of each location would fit particularly well.
• EU passport / Swiss Permit B essential.
• A driver is not essential, although a car can be made available if required.
