A warm, busy and international family based in Chelsea is seeking an experienced, energetic and highly organised Rota Nanny to care for their three school-aged children: two boys aged 14 & 11 and their sister, 9 years.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional candidate who genuinely enjoys working with older children and is confident managing the pace, logistics and responsibilities that come with three busy school-age charges.

The children are bright, active and extremely sporty, with football a particular passion. The successful candidate should therefore be naturally energetic and engaging, with an interest in sport and an ability to relate well to children moving towards greater independence.

The position operates on a one week on/off rota with Friday changeovers, increasing to two weeks on/off during certain family travel periods.

This is principally a sole-charge role, although the parents work from home and the household is fully staffed. There is a separate rota nanny caring for the youngest child, together with household staff and a PA, so excellent communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a professional household team are essential.

The role

• The Rota Nanny will take full responsibility for the children during working weeks, including:
• Managing school routines, diaries and the children's busy schedules.
• Liaising with schools and overseeing relevant school communications and administration.
• Organising extracurricular activities, sports fixtures, appointments and social arrangements.
• Supporting homework and encouraging good study habits, independence and personal responsibility.
• Providing appropriate guidance around behaviour, manners, organisation and boundaries.
• Acting as a positive, engaging and consistent role model.
• Managing children's wardrobes, laundry and ironing, with support from the wider household team where appropriate.
• Keeping bedrooms, study areas and children's belongings organised.
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks as required.
• Packing and unpacking for holidays and travel.
• Accompanying the family on occasional international travel.
• Proxy parenting when required.
• Liaising closely and professionally with parents, schools, the other rota nanny and household staff.
• The children attend school full-time and currently travel to and from school by school bus from Chelsea.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished Nanny with a strong track record caring for school-aged children, ideally within private or fully staffed households.

Candidates should be confident, personable and highly organised, with the maturity to set clear boundaries whilst building a warm and enjoyable relationship with the children. A genuine interest in sport and an active lifestyle would be a considerable advantage.

A clean driving licence and confident driving skills are essential, together with strong swimming ability. Excellent, checkable references are required.
