Clients based in Dubai are looking for a positive, focused organised, warm and proactive Rota Nanny (preferably Norland trained) with a ‘can-do’ attitude to care for their little boy (b. Nov. 2023). The family also recently welcomed a baby girl (Oct. 2025) who is already in a good routine and has Maternity Nurses (on rota) until the end of June. This role will be a mixture of shared care and sole charge, with a hands-on mum and both parents very much involved in their children's lives.

  • The working hours will be 2 weeks on/off, working 24 hours when on duty. Applicants need to either already live in Dubai or be prepared to relocate to Dubai at the earliest opportunity.


The Rota Nanny will be expected to have a good understanding and experience of working with toddlers and babies under 1 year. They should have longevity in previous roles (3 years minimum). The parents are looking at possibly starting the little boy at nursery in September but would like the nanny to have a strong educator background ideally with Montessori experience. They would continue educational activities at home, creating a home-based curriculum encompassing the EYFS and the Montessori philosophy to help prepare the little boy for school (especially if they decide to hold off on going to nursery until later). A strong developmental and education focus is essential.

Essential abilities:

  • Educator.
  • Nanny.
  • Must be able to play sports (incl. tennis, football, skiing) and swim
  • Must be able to play an instrument.
  • Be able to cook.

Skills/duties:

  • Child development knowledge.
  • Curriculum planning.
  • Be able to teach maths, science & English.
  • Educational play.
  • Behaviour guidance.
  • School-readiness support with documentation and feedback.
  • Routine management.
  • Basic play and child-focused engagement.
  • Child-related household tasks and duties.
  • Supervision & safety.

Essential, client requirements:

  • Native English speaker (neutral accent).
  • Qualified Early Childhood education training.
  • Graduated with distinction (if from Norland).
  • Must have previous experience in pre-schools/schools.
  • Familiarity with Montessori.
  • Mandatory certification: up-to-date Paediatric FA with CPR & DBS. 
  • Shared care experience + happy working in a shared care environment.
  • Calm manner, organised.

Advantageous candidate interests:

  • Love the outdoors (eg: hiking and taking children on hikes).
  • Theatre.
  • Yoga/meditation/dance.
  • An interest in European & Asian languages.

This is a fully staffed household and at the family's request, it is essential that their new Rota Nanny has stellar experience of working in this type of household and is a top, team player with good communication skills. The nanny will be responsible for all nursery duties including preparing fresh nutritional meals for the little boy along with being confident with weaning stages for the baby along with ensuring that the children’s areas are kept organised and up to date for their age and stage.

Rota Nanny applicants who are already in Dubai are being prioritised, as knowledge of Dubai and its climate (eg: being able to plan activities to do indoors when going outside isn’t possible due to the heat) are advantageous. The nanny must also be culturally aware, for example when it comes to what to wear and how to behave in the country and generally within a formal, family home.


  • Top salary paid.
  • Accommodation while on duty will be in the family home and include a bedroom and ensuite bathroom. 
  • There is frequent travel (US, India, Europe) so a Rota Nanny who enjoys travelling with has experience of travelling with families is essential. 
  • A driver is not required.
  • The family has one dog who is very friendly.
