KENSINGTON W8: Weekend Nanny (Friday–Sunday) – June start

• Location: Kensington W8, London (close to Kensington Palace Gardens)
• Schedule: Friday afternoon to Sunday early evening (live-in or live-out arrangements to be discussed)

The Role

A warm and welcoming family based in Kensington W8 is seeking an experienced and highly organised Weekend Nanny to care for their delightful 8-month-old daughter from Friday afternoon through to Sunday early evening.

The successful candidate will seamlessly take over from the weekday nanny each Friday, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining the baby's established routines throughout the weekend. This is a shared and sole-charge position requiring a confident, proactive nanny with excellent infant experience and a genuine passion for supporting early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, loving, and professional care for an 8-month-old baby girl.
• Following and maintaining established feeding, sleeping, and daily routines.
• Supporting the baby's ongoing weaning journey, including preparing nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks.
• Planning and implementing engaging age-appropriate developmental activities that encourage cognitive, physical, sensory, and social development.
• Taking the baby on walks, outings, and local activities as appropriate.
• Monitoring developmental milestones and supporting progress through play and interaction.
• Ensuring the nursery, play areas, and baby's belongings remain organised and well maintained.
• Keeping detailed handover notes for parents and the weekday nanny.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
• Working collaboratively with parents and the weekday nanny to ensure consistency of care.

Candidate Requirements

• Significant professional experience caring for babies under one year of age.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of baby-led weaning and/or traditional weaning approaches.
• Excellent understanding of infant development and age-related milestones.
• Proven ability to create stimulating and engaging developmental activities.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage routines independently.
• Calm, nurturing, and confident in a sole-charge role.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Up-to-date First Aid certification preferred.
• Enhanced DBS check and excellent references required.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
